All participants should show up and head to our registration tent. For kids bookings, no ID is required we will just need their name and date of birth to locate them in our system.

WHEN SHOULD I ARRIVE?
You should arrive at least 45 minutes before your race time. This will allow plenty of time to park your car and get your race bibs and drop off your bag if you need to.
WHAT DO I GET?
Besides the most satisfying feeling in the world when you finish Muddy Hell you will also get:
A race bib sticker, the coolest kids medal ever, finish line water
IS THERE SOMEWHERE TO LEAVE MY BAGS?
Yes, there is, bag check will be charged at $2 a low price to not have to worry about all that stuff for the day.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
All participants (kids and adults) and spectators (roaming beyond the main racecourse fences) must wear fully enclosed shoes at all times. If you are barefoot or in shoes that are not fully enclosed while on course you will be removed immediately.
Everyone is different, but we suggest you dress for the weather without being too heavy or wearing clothing that holds water if you get wet. We also suggest shoes with a decent grip on them that you can run in, trail running shoes are best but if you don’t have any then wear some runners you won’t mind getting dirty or destroyed.
WHAT ELSE SHOULD I BRING?
- A towel or 2 to dry off
- A change of clothes – You won’t want to get in your car with your post race clothes, trust us!
- Plastic bags (for your very dirty clothes and shoes)
- Cash for super cool Muddy Hell merchandise and food (EFTPOS may be available but its reliant on mobile phone service)
ARE THERE SHOWERS AND CHANGE ROOMS
Yes there are showers and change rooms.
WE STRONGLY REQUEST THAT YOUR KIDS WEAR BATHERS UNDER THEIR RACING WEAR.
This allows kids to strip off to their bathers after their run and wash the mud off. Please take dirty clothes and shoes home for cleaning.
We will have warm and cold washing options available and we ask all participants to keep showers to a maximum of 3 minutes per person. The showers are for washing the mud off and weren’t intended to get you spotless.
Yes there are changing rooms, they do tend to get pretty dirty throughout the day, it is a mud run after all. Please consider others when you use these facilities, clean up after yourself and don’t leave rubbish behind.
There are bins provided for rubbish, wrappers and bottles and if you use gels or food on course do not dispose of the wrappers on course there is wildlife and horses that could choke on them. Also if you decide after the event you don’t want your shoes or clothes please take these home and dispose of them yourself. We do not like picking up your undies and stinky shoes after you leave. Its not a nice job and it’s a health hazard for staff.
WHERE DO I GO?
Muddy Kids is at Penbank School @ 460 Mornington-Tyabb Road, Moorooduc 3933 (just off Peninsula Link)
When parking please follow the signs and any instructions from volunteers assisting with parking.
We will be collecting a gold coin donation upon entry for the Victorian Bushfire Appeal and we anticipate it will be busy so we ask for your patience and careful driving to ensure safety.
Please car pool where possible to reduce car park and entry congestion.
WHAT ABOUT THE COURSE, I’M FREAKING OUT!
Muddy Hell Kids is an obstacle course that has been designed for all ages and all fitness levels but in saying that if there is an obstacle your child is concerned with, please just skip it and move on. Not all obstacles will suit all kids so don’t feel let down if they think they can’t do a particular obstacle.
For the kids course, parents are allowed to go on the course with their kids, so dress appropriately. You should also consider bringing a change of clothes and shoes as well.
There will be trained medics on site, if you need any medical attention on course please let a volunteer know and we get the medics to come to you.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I MISS MY WAVE
So long as it’s not the last wave (2:30pm) you can always jump in the next one all together.
ANYTHING ELSE YOU SHOULD KNOW?
If you have any questions, please email us on firstname.lastname@example.org or message us on our Facebook page. Please note that for the week leading up to the event, we will be out on course creating mud pies so please be patient with us and only message us if it’s really important.
